The name of this blog was chosen as a play on the word "simplicity". However, it might surprise people who live in an urban setting that country living is anything but simple.

Country Dede: I'm a Texan living in Missouri. After spending over 40 years of my 50 plus years of life in towns and cities, I now find myself happily living in the country with my beloved Pat ... and enjoying life in a different way than I ever have before. I've always loved the outdoors. The picture in my profile is of me in our back clearing last summer, it was full of sunflowers that hadn't quite bloomed (see blooming picture at bottom of blog). These days, whenever I'm not cooking or working inside, you will find me (and Pat when he's off) outside wandering the property, gardening or taking photographs.
